Arduino Amphibious Vehicle – Test Platform for all kinds of new features

In addition to the GPS Boat Project, which is in work at the moment, I’ve decided to build some kind of a test device. I’ve found an old remote-controlled amphibious car in the cellar, when I was cleaning up old stuff. This and some old joysticks will be the start of the project. I’m planning to test all kind of functionalities in this project. For example GPS coordination, 2,4GHz RF to steer stuff, compass sensor and sensors in generall, some lcd menu layouts, different lcds for the controller and much more…

I’ve already started to disassemble the rc car and the joysticks. Also the RFM70 Modules are already working. The next steps will be to build two boards with an ATMega328 and its basic components, one with a lcd (I’m going to hook it up over IIC),and one with the needed power-handeling for the two motors of the amphibious car.
